| Description: | The function and purpose of this position is to serve as a Regional Support Coordinator for the Title 1 Accountability Grant. In order to provide statewide implementation of the expansion of Michigan’s Statewide System of Support, services to Title 1 High Priority schools in Phases 1 & 2 are being expanded through data driven decision making, evidence-based intervention implementation, and instructional coaching. The essential functions of regional support will be carried out in collaboration with ISD/RESA representatives to coordinate the delivery of services. The ideal candidate has established regional connections and networks. | |||
| Responsibilities: | • Fostering community, building strong
relationships, and share best practices across the region. • Support and mentor instructional coaches. • Coordinate regional coaches meetings to share successes and challenges, problem solve issues and remove implementation barriers. • Identify, support, and/or provide on-going training and support for instructional coaches. • Review school team services requests. • Coordinate the identification and deployment of regional supports. • Disseminate materials and provide technical assistance to ISD/RESA representatives, instructional coaches and school teams. • Assist with quarterly statewide coaches support meetings to share successes and challenges, problem solve issues and remove implementation barriers. • Communicate regularly with ISD/RESAs and support providers to ensure coordination and effective delivery of services. • Use technology in new and creative ways (including electronic mail, essential user applications, web-based resources and data entry, and other venues) to increase communication across the region and the state. • Complete and submit required reports in a timely manner. • Meet periodically with regional support providers to analyze progress, identify service gaps, regional needs and recommendations for improvements. |

| Qualifications: | A Master’s Degree in Education
(or related field) is required. Current or past possession of a teaching certificate comparable to the one issued in this state is required. |

| Experience: | • At least one year of administrative
or consultative school-based coaching experience in education is required. • Experience designing and delivering professional development opportunities in education is required. |

| Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: | • Knowledge of the philosophies, objectives,
